I would like to see freedom redefined not only as individual liberty, but as a shared global condition rooted in equity, sustainability, and access to science-based decision-making. This means ensuring that all young people — regardless of geography — have the right to quality education, healthcare, and the ability to participate in shaping their futures. I want to help build systems where freedom includes freedom from misinformation, ecological collapse, and social exclusion. Specifically, I aim to advance scientific literacy, promote equitable health policies, and empower youth-led sustainability initiatives that recognize the interconnectedness of human and planetary well-being.
If I could change one thing in the world regarding freedom, it would be to ensure equal access to education and information for all. Education is the foundation of freedom because it empowers individuals to make informed decisions, think critically, and participate actively in society. In many parts of the world, access to quality education is still a privilege rather than a right. Whether due to economic barriers, gender discrimination, or political instability, millions of young people are denied the opportunity to learn and grow. This lack of education creates cycles of poverty and limits social mobility, making true freedom unattainable for many. Furthermore, in an era of misinformation and propaganda, ensuring access to reliable and unbiased information is crucial. Many people, especially young individuals, are influenced by digital misinformation, which can shape their perceptions of freedom and democracy. If I could change something, I would work towards global education reforms and media literacy programs to equip people with the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to safeguard their own freedoms.
Well, first I would like to establish the real meaning of freedom. Secondly, I would want people to speak out more often when it comes to threats regarding freedom
I would like for everyone to have freedom, in terms of their life not being threatened by war, their state being responsible for ensuring their rights to freedom to live, freedom of speech, assembly, to work and study, the basic right of freedom to do anything freely that does not harm others. The state should provide sufficient protection, education, healthcare open to all so that everyone may practice their freedom of living the life they want and deserve, the foundation of freedom should be ensured.
Regarding freedom of movement: 1. Acceptance of the universal human rights for refugees. 2. Clearer laws limitations regarding the state sovereignty (on freedom of movement).
Iedereen toegang geven tot onderwijs en basisbehoeften, en discriminatie bestrijden.
To answer this question I would need a whole book, so I will focus on my community as recommended. as an international student living in the Netherlands I would definitely put a more stringent regulation regarding housing and short-term rentals. At the moment, international students are constantly being denied their rights or exploited economically by landlords who just want to make the most of their apartments. Moreover, make Dutch courses more accessible to students, so that they are encouraged to learn the language and culture of the country in which they are living. Objectively, courses organized at national level are too intensive and concentrated in a too short period of time. It is impossible for a working student to follow them. To conclude, as a transgender man, I would like to be able to travel around the world without worrying about my safety. I would like not to be discriminated against in the workplace or at university. I would like access to the same opportunities as people of the same gender. I would like the number of trans people killed each year to decrease, instead of increasing. I wish I could be considered simply a human being like everyone else.
I aspire to contribute to a world where freedom is universally recognized and upheld, unencumbered by socio-economic, political, or cultural barriers. This vision entails advocating for robust educational frameworks that foster critical thinking, digital literacy, and an understanding of civic responsibilities. Empowering individuals with knowledge equips them to navigate and challenge systems that infringe upon their freedoms. Additionally, I aim to support the creation of inclusive platforms for dialogue and decision-making, ensuring that marginalized voices are heard and considered in policy formulations. Strengthening international collaborations to address transnational challenges—such as armed conflicts, human trafficking, and cyber threats—is also crucial, as these issues transcend borders and require collective action. Ultimately, cultivating a global culture that values empathy, equity, and justice is essential to sustaining and expanding the realms of freedom for all.
