Treaty of Middelburg

I believe we should start from zero, reexamining all our current beliefs and practices to rebuild a system where power is truly shared. By rethinking our political, economic, and social structures, we can create a genuine democracy that empowers every individual—even as the digital era reshapes our world.

Why do you want to participate?

This is my first time participating in this kind of event so I’m curious to see what this freedom conference will be like, I’m going with a group of students for a project in university

What does freedom mean to you?

In simple words, it’s the ability to act, think, and live without unnecessary restrictions, while respecting the rights of others. There are multiple types of freedom, the most important one (for me) in this society is financial freedom, and political, the rest like social and psychological freedom comes along if the 2 first are respected. But in the end it’s just how you perceive your personal freedom

What are the biggest challenges?

The biggest challenges for young people regarding freedom today include financial dependence, digital surveillance, social pressure, and limited economic opportunities. As the world moves toward a fully digital era, personal freedom is increasingly restricted by constant monitoring, data collection, and algorithm-driven decision-making. Unlike previous generations, young people may struggle to experience true privacy and autonomy, as their actions, choices, and even opinions are tracked and influenced online. This shift means that freedom in the digital age will look very different from before, raising concerns about personal control, independence, and self-expression.

Do you have a message?

I hate politics (politicians), and my idea would be to get rid of human kind to help the planet if it’s not too late
