Treaty of Middelburg

I want to see a world where young people are empowered to speak up, participate in governance, and break free from societal limitations. This means advocating for stronger youth representation, educational reforms, and digital rights protection. By dismantling restrictive systems and fostering an environment that supports self-expression and inclusivity, I believe we can create a more equitable society for all.

Why do you want to participate?

I want to participate in this conference because I believe in the power of young people to drive meaningful change. This event allows me to engage with individuals with diverse perspectives, collaborate on innovative solutions, and advocate for greater freedom and opportunities for young people worldwide. Through this experience, I hope to learn a lot, to amplify youth voices, contribute to impactful discussions, and inspire action toward a more just and inclusive world.

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom means having the ability to express oneself, pursue personal aspirations, and make independent choices without fear or restriction of rights. It is about having equal access to opportunities, education, and participation in society. True freedom goes beyond personal rights - it includes the responsibility to create a world where everyone, regardless of background, can live with dignity and autonomy.

What are the biggest challenges?

One of the biggest challenges for young people today is the lack of agency in decision-making processes that affect their lives. Many face political restrictions, limited access to quality education, economic instability, and online censorship. Additionally, social inequalities and systemic barriers prevent many young people from fully exercising their rights, making it harder for them to shape their own futures.

Do you have a message?

I believe that young people are the changemakers of today. We must invest in young people's ideas, talent, and provide them the opportunities to develop their ideas. We need to challenge outdated norms, demand spaces for our voices to be heard, and stand together for freedom and justice. A world that values and empowers young people is a world that thrives for the future generations of tomorrow.
