a dutyful government

I realise my points made are more however here are some proposals: Installing an authority against authoritarian tendencies. If signs are being picked up in society or politics advice can be given how to act upon this More severe means against unconstitutionalities could be the appliance of constitutional testing of new laws. Changing treaties goals instead of countries trying to keep peace like nato. Have them actual disarm as much as possible. Have policy to remind civil servants that they actually have to serve the community. Could for example be annual community projects in the country where they participate.

Why do you want to participate?

Looking at the world around me. Lot of things are going on. Multiple wars even on European soil. However I do not think nato countries and the Netherlands in particular are acting correctly upon this. War language is being spoken more and more. While other sanctions are being overseen. Risking bigger possibly unnecessary escalation. Also the amount of people that sympathise for government systems with an absolute power of a dictator to some extend is growing. I feel like this should also be a big concern towards the Dutch government:

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom to me can not be mentioned without love. Me as a Christian has learned that you shall love your neighbour as yourself. This also goes for freedom: is not something you as an individual can just experience yourself. It’s something you’ll have to give others. Freedom can be experiences when long contested constitutions are actually being brought into practice. It’s a constant call to the government to be actually able to serve it’s civilians. This willingness to serve, would fulfil all of the four freedoms I feel. Same as the biblical law is also fulfilled by love. Therefore goes further then political preferences.

What are the biggest challenges?

Having governments speaking war language. That are not acting out of willingness to serve from the constitutions that protect our freedoms. Even so that governments have made the situation so, that people are starting to sympathise for dictatorships, because these kind of systems would ‘know the public will’ a dangerous process I feel.
