Treaty of Middelburg
I would stop the normalising of everyone trying to be the same or normal as each other and I would give everyone the freedom to express themselves in their own way.

Why do you want to participate?
I am an honored to have the chance to participate in such an event I think it is fun because we will be a group of students working together in aย new setting to discuss the Treaty of Middelburg and we will even be given the chance to discuss ideas with important stakeholders.
What does freedom mean to you?
To me freedom is for example is the ability to be able to pursue my studies in the Netherlands.
What are the biggest challenges?
I think it is for sure a broad topic but one area I would like to focus on comes with the excess surveillance of digital devices especially for young people. Especially young people are constantly monitored online, and their personal data is collected by corporations and governments. They often donโt have full control over their digital footprint, which affects their ability to express themselves freely. Social media creates unrealistic expectations, leading to stress, anxiety, and a fear of failure. Many young people feel pressured to fit into a mold rather than freely pursuing their own paths. It also creates a culture where people fear speaking openly due to backlash, making true freedom of speech difficult. Another reason is Economic Freedom & Job Insecurity โ Many young people struggle with financial independence due to high living costs, student debt, and job market instability. This limits their ability to make free choices about their future.
Do you have a message?
I am already working with a motivated group of students to make sure we have a strong team that will be participating to the maximum. Thank you!
