Treaty of Middelburg
If I could change anything in the world, it would be people's tendency to judge each other. A lot of people judge and criticize things they are not familiar with. This is something that comes natural to people and we have to consciously learn to recognize and change that part of ourselves. I believe this would improve many diplomatic issues.

Why do you want to participate?
I think it would be fun to participate in this event because exchanging ideas about something as important as freedom would be a great opportunity to learn about others' perspectives. I also believe that it is important within every society to keep the discussion going about freedom to continually be able to improve our idea of it.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom is one of the most important human rights to me. Freedom means that people can be themselves, to choose their own paths in life. I believe this leads to diversity and that leads to the progression of our society.
What are the biggest challenges?
I think that modern society has a lot of room for a lot of freedom in the western world. There are still many cases of limited freedom of want, mainly people living below the poverty threshold. I think that in our country, this is the most prevalent challenge to people's freedom. There has also been a shift in politics across Europe and the United States that seems to target personal freedoms of certain minority groups. Discrimination is still a big challenge for a lot of young people from mainly racial minorities and people from the LGBTQIA+ community.
Do you have a message?
Not at this moment.
