Why do you want to participate?

I was introduced to this event by my friend and believe that every person has the right and the freedom to make decisions to change their life and the fact that, some people in the world are powerless to the decisions of others. Instead of just talking about it, I want to be part of a movement that will actually invoke change.

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom means having the power to make our own choices and the ability to decide our own fate.

What are the biggest challenges?

I think that young people today have so much information overload from different social media platforms that they get easily influenced and swayed by the opinions of others, especially if they started using social media at a young age. Their freedom to choose and be firm on their own beliefs is hindered by the voices of others.

Do you have a message?

I love the idea of having youths come together to decide on policies that will be proposed to the United Nations, as it gets young people involved and talking about issues that will affect them in the future. There could be more outreach, not just to university students, but also high schoolers, to get their opinions.
