Treaty of Middelburg
I would like to create more awareness and solidarity. I want to see a world where young people are more empowered to stand up for freedom and human rights, not only in their own countries but globally. I believe in strengthening education and platforms where freedom is discussed openly, so that we can protect it and ensure it’s not just a privilege for some, but a right for all.

Why do you want to participate?
I want to participate because I believe freedom is a fundamental value, and I am aware that not everyone has the opportunity to experience it. For me, being able to take part in this is a privilege, and I want to make the most of it by contributing and standing up for values like freedom and equality.
What does freedom mean to you?
To me, freedom means the ability to make my own choices, express my opinions, and live my life without fear of oppression. It’s about having the space to grow, to speak up, and to pursue my goals. Freedom is the foundation of dignity and equality, and I believe it should be protected and shared by everyone, everywhere.
What are the biggest challenges?
I think one of the biggest challenges is that many young people still live under systems where their rights and freedoms are restricted, whether it’s due to political regimes, social inequality, or even online censorship. Another challenge is that, even in free societies, young people sometimes take freedom for granted or feel disconnected from how to protect it. There’s also the growing challenge of misinformation and polarization, which can threaten democratic values and freedom of thought.
Do you have a message?
Yes, my message is: "Freedom should never be taken for granted. If you have it, use it to uplift others." I believe that we each have the power to use our freedom responsibly—to speak up, to act, and to support those who are still fighting for their basic rights.
