I want to help counter democratic backsliding and racism, which continue to threaten true freedom. Too many young people face censorship, repression, and discrimination that limit their ability to speak up and shape their futures. I believe in strengthening democratic values, protecting free expression, and ensuring that no one is denied their rights because of their background. Freedom should be a reality for all, not just a privilege for some.

Why do you want to participate?

My passion for freedom, youth empowerment, and global dialogue has driven my academic and personal journey. Through my studies and past experiences, I have explored the importance of individual liberty, human rights, and open discourse in shaping a just and progressive society. Engaging in discussions about these fundamental values has deepened my understanding of the challenges young people face in advocating for freedom worldwide. As an ambassador at the Youth Freedom Conference, I want to be part of meaningful conversations, connecting with like-minded individuals, and amplifying the voices of young changemakers. My commitment to critical thinking, diplomacy, and cross-cultural exchange makes me eager to take on this role. I believe that true change starts with dialogue and action, and I am excited about the opportunity to be part of a movement that champions freedom and youth engagement on a global scale.

What does freedom mean to you?

To me, freedom is the ability to think, speak, and act according to my beliefs without fear of oppression. It means having the power to make choices that shape my own life while respecting the rights of others. True freedom means dialogue, innovation, and progress—it is the foundation of a just and open society. More than just a concept, freedom is a responsibility to stand up for individual rights and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live a happy life without any form of oppression.

What are the biggest challenges?

One of the greatest threats to freedom for young people today is democratic backsliding- the decrease of democratic institutions, free speech, and political participation. In many countries, youth face increasing restrictions on activism, censorship of dissenting voices, and shrinking spaces for democratic engagement. At the same time, racism and discrimination continue to limit opportunities, preventing true equality in freedom and rights. When democracy weakens and intolerance grows, young people are often the first to feel the consequences. Defending freedom today means standing up against these forces and ensuring that all voices, regardless of background, can be heard and valued.

Do you have a message?

Freedom is not guaranteed—it must be defended. True freedom means ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, has an equal voice and the right to challenge injustice. We must stand against oppression, protect open dialogue, and fight for a world where freedom is not a privilege but a universal right. Change begins with us. To take a first step into this direction, I would love to become an ambassador at the youth freedom conference 2025!
