Treaty of Middelburg
I would like to see a world where freedom is truly accessible to all, regardless of background, wealth, or location. This means removing barriers to education, ensuring digital rights and privacy, and giving young people a real voice in decision-making. I want to help create systems where youth can express themselves freely, access opportunities without discrimination, and shape policies that affect their future. True freedom isn’t just about individual rights—it’s about building a society where everyone has the power to thrive.

Why do you want to participate?
I want to participate in the Youth Freedom Treaty because I believe in the power of young people to shape a more just and sustainable future. This initiative aligns with my passion for meaningful impact, particularly in areas like education, sustainability, and governance. By engaging in this treaty, I hope to contribute my skills, learn from others, and collaborate on solutions that empower youth worldwide.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom, to me, means the ability to think, speak, and act without unjust restrictions while also recognizing the responsibility that comes with it. It’s about having the power to make choices that shape my own future, access opportunities, and express myself authentically. True freedom is not just individual but collective—it means creating a world where everyone, regardless of background, has the rights and resources to live with dignity and purpose.
What are the biggest challenges?
The biggest challenges to youth freedom today include inequality, digital restrictions, and limited political influence. Many young people face barriers to education, fair employment, and decision-making. Digital spaces, while empowering, also come with censorship, surveillance, and misinformation. Additionally, social and political systems often exclude youth from shaping policies that affect their future. Overcoming these challenges requires greater access to rights, opportunities, and platforms for meaningful participation.
Do you have a message?
Freedom isn’t just given—it’s built. Young people must have a voice in shaping their own future, whether through education, digital rights, or political participation. Real change happens when we challenge injustice, support each other, and take action. Let’s create a world where freedom means opportunity for all, not just a privileged few.
