Treaty of Middelburg
Today, many of us feel trapped by expectations, societal pressures, and fear of the unknown. I believe we need more open conversations about mental well-being, better support systems, and a culture that encourages us to embrace change rather than fear it. True freedom starts in the mind, and I would love to see a world where young people feel empowered to navigate their futures with confidence and peace.

Why do you want to participate?
It is my first time participating in an event such as the Youth Conference for Freedom. I truly believe that this commotion of young people is what we need to bring people and different ideas and experiences together, especially now that a lot of uncertainty surrounds us. I look forward to taking an active part on this project.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom to me is the feeling of being fearless and truthful to myself and to my beliefs. Is my power to question things that I consider right and wrong and my ability to come and go whenever I want. I really appreciate the feeling of freedom I live by, I value it very much.
What are the biggest challenges?
The uncertainty about the future that surrounds us is loud. I believe one of the main challenges we face for our freedom is the future expectations and how they are closely bound to forces that go beyond ourselves. For me, it blurs my vision of a future where my freedom still exists and it makes me anxious.
Do you have a message?
I would like to sincerely thank the organizers of this Conference for the incredible impact it will have on the youth participating in this amazing project!
