Why do you want to participate?

I think it is important to discuss this issue of freedom with decision makers directly, especially with the current political climate and the current trend of defunding various tools for freedom such as education and public services. I believe in persuasion, relationship building and conversation as vital in achieving freedom in the future. Additionally, I want to discuss the role of tech and AI in particular in gaining freedom, especially in a sustainability context, because while AI can be a freedom tool, one of the biggest determinants of freedom in our future will be the environmental consequences of our actions.

What does freedom mean to you?

To me, freedom is the ability to have what you need in your life to survive, and the ability to live your life as you choose, as well as extending that to everyone else. Notably, this means that if living your life includes the overt or covert hurt of others, you are depriving them of freedom.

What are the biggest challenges?

Technology's resulting erosion of real-life communities, and the erosion of social development systems.

Do you have a message?

I would like to. discuss those at the event itself.
