Treaty of Middelburg
If I could bring about change, I would focus on creating a world where access to truthful information and education is a fundamental right for all. Strengthening media literacy programs, promoting critical thinking in education, and ensuring freedom of the press are crucial steps toward protecting democratic values and empowering individuals to make informed decisions. I would also advocate for greater inclusivity and protection of fundamental rights, ensuring that freedom is not a privilege for a few but a reality for all, regardless of socio-economic background, gender, or nationality.

Why do you want to participate?
In today's world, wars, conflicts, and injustice have unfortunately become an enduring reality. More than ever, I believe it is crucial to engage in initiatives that promote peace and understanding among individuals, regardless of their nationality or background. This conference represents an opportunity to foster meaningful dialogue, build bridges between cultures, and unite against violence and division. I am eager to contribute to these discussions, exchange perspectives with participants from diverse backgrounds, and work towards solutions that strengthen global cooperation and harmony.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom, to me, is an expansive and multifaceted concept that extends beyond its conventional definitions. It embodies the right to express oneself without fear, to think independently, to pursue education and knowledge, and to shape one’s own future. It is the foundation of human dignity and empowerment, enabling individuals to live authentically and reach their full potential. True freedom is not just about the absence of restrictions but about the presence of opportunities to grow, contribute, and thrive.
What are the biggest challenges?
One of the most pressing challenges facing young people today is the rise of misinformation and disinformation. In an era where social media and digital platforms dominate communication, false narratives and hate speech have become widespread, manipulating public perception and undermining critical thinking. These distortions of truth create ideological divides, foster intolerance, and limit our ability to engage in open, informed discussions. Additionally, increasing political polarization and restrictions on freedom of expression in some regions make it harder for young people to advocate for change. Combatting misinformation and promoting media literacy are essential to preserving freedom in our society.
Do you have a message?
Young people must realized that they have the power to drive change by raising awareness, engaging in civic participation, and using technology to amplify marginalized voices. By fostering inclusive discussions, advocating for policy changes, and leading grassroots initiatives, they can create a ripple effect that strengthens freedom and democracy.
