Treaty of Middelburg
I would like to change that the world becomes safer, I think this is very important. That people treat each other and the planet even better than is done now. The world is a scary place and it is not feasible to change this but I think that with the youth of today we can already change a lot. We all have to fight for our planet and the people on it, after all this is our home.

Why do you want to participate?
I would like to participate because, after all, we younger people are going to be the future of the world. If you look in the news and around you now, it is sometimes quite scary, I often fear for the future, especially when it comes to freedom and peace. Especially as a woman, we are so much further along than years ago but still the world is a very scary place. When I think about raising children in today's world, I find it quite exciting, who knows what will happen? I would like to have an impact on freedom and peace in the world, and to contribute together with people my age.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom to me means equal choices for everyone, being able to be who you want to be without being a danger to society. I therefore think a good justice system is very important, after all, this is the backbone of a safe society. In my opinion, this is not good in the Netherlands. Another thing I find super important is people's rights and equal rights for women. Being your own boss, equal rights to men, being allowed to make your own choices, being in charge of your own body. After all, this is also freedom. The most important thing of all for me is a safe society, for everyone. I strive to contribute to this.
What are the biggest challenges?
Big challenges for young people have a lot to do with climate, the world is changing. Freedom for the future does depend on this, the whole world in every field is adapting to climate change, young people should always keep this in mind. We don't know what all is going to change once sea levels rise to such an extent, etc. What I think is also a big challenge is the internet, ai's. Nobody knows how ai's will eventually develop. If you look now at how smart they already are, entire jobs will be taken over in the future. This will start offering challenges in terms of finding a job. Also in the field of knowledge and school, ai is going to play a big role, you see it happening everywhere now that students are using ai for almost everything because it is so easy. I myself find it scary how much ai can fake, complete videos and photos of people or events. Now you can still see pretty well what is fake about the ‘perfection’ and ‘haze’ over the videos and photos but the more it is going to develop the better the quality will become and therefore the more can be made. Social pressure is also a big challenge for young people. I notice that there is a lot of social pressure to fit in, or even to be better than average. This can push young people to the limit. Everyone always says that you can always be yourself and that no one is wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth, as soon as people are 'different', they are no longer treated as normal by many people. This is very difficult for many people. In some cases, this has even led to suicide. I think that we as young people need to change something about this.
Do you have a message?
